FAQ

- Why do you always make special mention of the music in games?
- Since this site is, in many ways, a look through nostalgic eyes at games many of us played in our childhoods, the music becomes especially important to the memories. I find nothing sparks a memory of a long-forgotten game better than a quick blast of a tune.
- What do you do with games that appear on multiple platforms?
- In general there will be one “definitive” version of a game. Street Fighter 2, for example, was definitely better on the SNES. Likewise something like The Lion King just worked better on the SNES than it did the Genesis. In some cases a game with the same title on a different platform is not actually a port of the original. This makes my job easier — for instance, Aladdin on the Genesis is a completely different game to Aladdin on the SNES. It’s a whole lot better too.
